Beer and records has been a good combination ever since. Hence it felt natural for Slow Pete to talk about some of his favourite records and drink simultaneously a beer. Sometimes he talks about beer as well, however the focus of this is clearly on the records. Everything is taped and made available on video, creating a unique audio-visuall experience. Behind each record is a story, and Slow Pete is ready to tell them all, while not taking himself too seriously.
Being in the radio business for about one and a half (=1,5) decades quite a few records have accumulated in the collection. Slow Pete don’t always has the time to speak about them in his shows, so he decided to do it here. Musically it is about all sorts of Soul/Funk, Jamaican music of any couleur, Latin American music, particularly Brazilian music, Avant-garde, Beats & Hiphop, African music from the 60ies and 70ies, Psych- and Kraut Rock, OSTs, Jazz from the early days until now, occasionally some electronic music and once in a while also some music from “exotic” countries. (Genres and styles given in no specific order here)
