Konfuser Film über einen Zahlentheoretiker auf der Suche nach der alles erklärenden Nummer. Diese soll vor allem a) die Aktienkurse voraussagen können b) das originale Wort für Gott im Judentum repräsentieren. Hinderlich an der Suche ist jedoch, dass Maximilian Cohan zum einen paranoid ist, zum anderen regelmäßig Anfälle mit Nasenbluten bekommt, welche er mit allerlei Drogen und Medizin zu bekämpfen versucht. Leider geht auch ab und zu mal der Computer kaputt (der Film ist von 1998, jedoch in den späten 80er angesiedelt. 5.25″ Zoll Disketten, Juhuu)
Schauspielerisch total in Ordnung, kommt der Film mit nur wenigen Charakteren aus. Die Handlung ist zusammenhängend, jedoch nicht unbedingt immer schlüssig. Das Ende so lala. Dennoch irgendwie ein Klassiker auf dessen Soundtrack es auch Autechre und Massive Attack geschafft haben.

This Album easily passes the one year after test. Put the album on the platter and one year after it was released and ask yourself why you bought it in the first place. In this case it is a combination of uniqueness and pure awesomeness. No genre fit, total individualism and a definit catchyness make this a candidate for blowing diggers minds away 2050, when it might be rediscoverd.
